Hello! My name is Kate Niles and I’m a certified pediatric sleep consultant. My husband Randy and I live in Illinois with our daughter Cameron.
Prior to joining the Sleep Wise Consulting team, I graduated with a master’s degree in public health from Benedictine University with a dual emphasis in health promotion & health education and health management & health policy.
Over the last seven years I have had the privilege of working with a hospital in the community wellness setting. I offered high-quality health education to children of all ages in our local schools and provided wellness program opportunities to all members of our community. In addition, I also hold my massage therapy license in Illinois. I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work with the athletes of a Big Ten University for the last eight years. It is through these interactions and educational opportunities that I have recognized and emphasized the importance of optimal health and well-being beginning with a healthy sleep foundation. Working with families and members of my community has always been a passion of mine. I am excited to bring that passion to the Sleep Wise team!
Like many new parents, I did my best to ensure my daughter had a solid sleep foundation. We followed suggested schedules and eating patterns and read countless baby books.
We talked with our pediatrician; but to my disappointment and concern, something just wasn’t working for us and my sweet girl never seemed rested. I was exhausted and looking for answers, many of which seemed to all contradict themselves. Thankfully, I stumbled upon a social media post singing the praises of the Sleep Wise Consulting team. Within moments I had scheduled my fifteen-minute consultation call and after working with my consultant for a few weeks my daughter Cameron was sleeping like a champ! She went down for naps on her own, adjusted well to her new schedule and gave us twelve blissful hours of well-rested sleep each night! The best part about working with Sleep Wise for me was understanding the why behind what I was doing. I was educated and fully supported every step of the way. I not only had the guidance I was searching for, but also the encouragement I needed as a first-time mom. Now that everyone in our family is sleeping so well, it truly gives us the opportunity to live and enjoy each moment together as a family.
