A few words about
Hey Everyone! My name is Kelli Manley, and I am a certified sleep consultant for Sleep Wise Consulting! I reside in serene Monroe, LA with husband and my three children.
Prior to joining the Sleep Wise Consulting team, I graduated with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
I am now a full-time stay at home mom to three precious children. When my first was born, I was not prepared for the lack of sleep as well as the challenge of breastfeeding. I didn’t read any books, nor did I have a plan in place, which meant there was no such thing as a schedule or sleep.
This led to my sweet baby girl nursing all night long- for 8 months- and NEVER sleeping.
Then my second little girl came along, and I was ready to implement a plan from day one. I began focusing on schedules and routines just knowing that it would help Joanna become a good sleeper.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t working, and I knew I was not ready to let her cry it out at such a young age. What was I doing wrong?
At this point, I reached out to Sleep Wise Consulting to educate me on how I could teach Joanna independent sleep skills that didn’t consist of letting her cry it out. Within 1 day of implementing the child specific plan Katie developed for us, Joanna was sleeping 9-10 hours a night with one feeding (which was my goal). I immediately became passionate about educating and helping parents with their child’s sleep and knew this was something I wanted to do long term.
My ultimate goal is to educate parents and inform them that an infant CAN sleep. Sleep deprivation does not have to be the norm for new parents!
I would love to help your family achieve sleep success. There may be times that you want to quit, but I will be there to cheer you on when it gets tough, celebrate your successful nights, and most importantly, I will be there to teach your child independent sleep skills that will last a lifetime. I look forward to working with your family!
