Custom Baby & Toddler Sleep Schedule Maker:
Better Sleep Starts Here

(We’re parents, too. We get it!)

When it comes to parenting, sleep deprivation can be a huge obstacle standing between you and a happy, well-rested family. Sleep schedules are a great tool to help you ensure your growing child is getting the sleep they need to feel their best.  Schedules can be a foundational element for quality rest and can help a baby or toddler overcome sleep struggles.

While the schedule you will receive considers average sleep and wake times, every child has their own unique sleep needs, and adjustments to these schedules may be warranted. We always remind parents that schedules are a helpful guide, not a rigid rule—life happens, and flexibility is key!

your questions, answered.

How do I know it’s time for a change in my child’s schedule?

You finally get your baby sleeping well and suddenly the sleep disruptions start up again…this doesn’t mean what you are doing isn’t working! It just may mean it’s time for a change in your child’s sleep schedule. Some signs to look out for are trouble falling asleep, short naps, early morning wakings, or middle of the night wakings over the course of a few days. Any of these symptoms can mean it is time to see if a schedule change is needed.

How do I leave the house when I’m on a nap schedule?

This is a common concern when we are working with families on sleep training. Many parents want the flexibility of coming and going when they’d like. If you share this concern, let your child’s schedule guide you on the best times to leave the house. The occasional nap on the go (while not the same quality of sleep) does not typically cause long term sleep disruptions once independent sleep skills are solidified. For more information, check out our articles on leaving the house while following a nap schedule, or going out to dinner.

We know how hard it can be to adjust your life according to a sleep schedule, and it’s temporary. Before you know it your child won’t be napping any more and the days of naps on the go will be a distant memory!

Where can I find more information about my child’s sleep needs at a certain age?

In addition to the schedule maker, we have a blog with many in-depth articles on infant sleep. Here are a few to consider:

Is my baby overtired or under-tired?

It can be extremely confusing that under-tiredness and overtiredness present in very similar ways. Early morning wakings, difficulty falling asleep, and difficulty staying asleep can be attributed to either! Considering how much time your child is awake between sleeps when referring to your sleep schedule can help identify what your child might need. For more information on how to break the cycle of overtiredness, check out this blog.
