We have been fortunate to partner with Halie Powell to teach both of our babies independent sleep skills and can confidently say that connecting with her is one of our best parenting decisions to date. Halie extended so much kindness and grace to us as first time parents and really carried us through hardship when we didn’t believe sleep was possible. We began working with Halie when our daughter was about 2 months old — no one was sleeping, the paci ping pong game was exhausting, and we felt like we were failing. She is almost 2.5 now and has had very few regressions/disruptions as Halie helped us lay the independent sleep foundation for her early on. Not only do we feel confident in her sleep skills, but our daughter also feels confident. She knows when she needs rest and will ask to go to her crib so she can sleep.  We connected with Halie again and she helped us meet our son where he was. We saw incredible progress within the first few days and Halie stuck with us through some hiccups over holidays. He caught on and now sleeps 11-12 hours overnight. If he has a waking, he can typically settle back down without issue. That’s not to say we don’t have to make adjustments along the way but Sleep Wise has you covered there too. The online REM community, specifically Kelsey and Erica, continues to offer us ongoing support for which we are very thankful!

Babies aren’t robots and it’s not a quick scheme to guarantee sleep, but if you’re ready to put in the work to support your little(s) through the learning process, Sleep Wise will get you there and help keep you there. Sufficient rest changes everything and our family is much happier for it.

We welcomed our third child in March. After a few months of co-sleeping, we decided to contact Halie with Sleep Wise. Halie helped us with our second child, and we were ready for us to help us with our next. Before we started the process, we were a tad more nervous due to the vocal behavior of our third. Halie was very patient and respected our feelings through the process. Our third was a rockstar! One request that we wanted to continue was for him to be flexible on the locations for where he would sleep. Since starting the process, we have taken two trips, a road trip and airplane, and he has slept everywhere!!

Our 14 month old son went from feeding to sleep, cosleeping and waking up around 8 times a night to sleeping independently in his own crib for 10 hours straight in just two weeks! If I didn’t do it myself I would never believe it. Halie was so kind, patient and understanding. She’s an amazing teacher and resource. My only regret was not using her sooner.

My family had hit a wall. No one was sleeping; my daughter was more upset and uncomfortable every day, and all anyone could tell us was that “She’ll grow out of it eventually”. That’s when we called Sleep Wise. This consulting has changed our entire family for the better, and gave our daughter the energy and restoration she needed! In a matter of days, our little one was sleeping through the night and able to experience the world around her. Our family’s communication drastically improved as she no longer cried endlessly because she now had the energy to move from one experience/ mood to the next.  As parents, Halie gave us a routine we could lean on to help reestablish ourselves as people with jobs and hobbies, and she taught us how to navigate issues with our kiddo without platitudes and unsolvable medical diagnoses. Sleep Wise told us many times they did not cure colic, but looking back our baby didn’t have colic; she was overtired, unable to soothe herself, and stuck in a wake habit that didn’t work for anyone. I could go on and on about how this was the best money we ever spent, but if this sentence is all you read I’ll just say Sleep Wise helped our family discover who our child truly is and is something we will be doing for any additional children we have.

We unknowingly fell into some sleep crutches that resulted in my 11 month old son waking every 2 hours during the night looking for his paci and needing rocked back to sleep. Now after finishing the program with Halie, my son is soothing himself to sleep for naps at daycare and home. He has been sleeping through the night 10-12 hours since we started. He is such a champion sleeper!

Being a first time mom I always want what’s best for my little guy. Around age 5 months he couldn’t sleep without everything being PERFECT and would sleep maybe 20-30 minutes, two days went by were the only time he would sleep was while bf.. I know this was not good or sustainable and something had to change.

I realized that asking for help is not admittance to my shortcoming or faults it’s me advocating for my baby and getting the advise and plan from someone who knows exactly what they are talking about. The first couple days were hard on my mama heart but now my baby (and myself) are getting the consistent, safe sleep we need.
