Denisa Lyketsos
Pediatric Sleep Consultant
Roanoke, Va.
Denisa Lyketsos is a certified pediatric sleep consultant with Sleep Wise Consulting based in Roanoke, Virginia. After several years as a stay-at-home mom to her three young children, Denisa felt called to support other families in a more intentional way.
Denisa’s Experience
Denisa brings both professional insight and deeply personal experience to her work. Prior to becoming a sleep consultant, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and her Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America. She is a licensed lawyer in Virginia, though she does not currently practice law. During her legal career, she specialized in estate law and worked closely with families to help them achieve their testamentary goals.
Through her years at home raising three children under the age of six, Denisa gained invaluable hands-on experience understanding the rhythms, challenges, and joys of family life. She approaches her work with empathy, especially for parents who feel anxious about hearing their child cry. As someone who deeply understands that experience herself, Denisa offers reassurance, compassion, and steady guidance throughout the process.
Denisa believes that with the right tools, encouragement, and support, restful nights are possible for both children and their parents. Her goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and empowered as they build healthy sleep habits that work for their unique family.
"I was optimistic about sleep training based on experiences that my other friends had with Sleep Wise. Still, I did not anticipate the phenomenal results that I got. A routine schedule, consolidated naps, and a full night’s sleep restored my family’s health, made us more attentive to our child’s needs, and gave us back time together to continue our happy marriage!"

Denisa’s Sleep Story
My journey into sleep consulting began when my youngest child struggled significantly with sleep. He was waking multiple times each night and relying on both a pacifier and nursing to settle back to sleep. Like many parents, I believed constant exhaustion was simply part of raising young children.
After multiple nights of my son being wide awake for over two hours in the middle of the night, I reached my breaking point and, at 3:00am, booked a call with a Sleep Wise consultant. Everything changed when we implemented the Sleep Wise approach. Not only did my son begin sleeping through the night without nursing or a pacifier, but his overall demeanor transformed. He became happier, more playful, and more engaged.
That experience completely reshaped my understanding of what’s possible for families. Through my work as a sleep consultant, I hope to help change the narrative that exhaustion is just an inevitable part of parenthood. I want parents to know that better sleep is possible and that they don’t have to navigate the process alone.
