Charlene’s Experience
Charlene is a certified occupational therapist assistant with 12 years of pediatric experience, supporting children from infancy through young adulthood. Her experience with children began with babysitting and working as a teacher’s assistant in daycares and grew into a career dedicated to helping children and families.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has extensive specialized training in pediatric development, sensory processing, autism, ADHD, therapeutic listening, handwriting development, pediatric yoga, reflex integration, and other areas of pediatric care. Her professional background has taught her the importance of looking at each child as an individual and working closely with families every step of the way. Communication and collaboration have always been at the heart of her approach.
As a mom to a child diagnosed with autism at age two, Charlene is also a fierce advocate for her son and for the autism community. She knows firsthand how much families of children with special needs can navigate every day, and she would love to help make sleep one less thing they have to worry about.
"I was optimistic about sleep training based on experiences that my other friends had with Sleep Wise. Still, I did not anticipate the phenomenal results that I got. A routine schedule, consolidated naps, and a full night’s sleep restored my family’s health, made us more attentive to our child’s needs, and gave us back time together to continue our happy marriage!"

Charlene’s Sleep Story
My own journey with sleep is what ultimately led me to Sleep Wise. When my son, Owen, was six months old, our family worked with Sleep Wise. We had welcomed him during the height of COVID, and because I was still testing positive after giving birth, I was separated from him right from the beginning. I already felt like I was trying to find my way back to that connection with my baby, and when sleep became difficult, I found myself feeling like I was simply going through the motions during the little awake time we had together.
Sleep Wise changed our lives in just two short weeks. I was amazed to discover that my little guy had the tools he needed all along. When he was awake, he was happier, I was happier, and we finally had the space to focus on what mattered most to me: bonding and enjoying our time together.
That experience became even more meaningful when Owen was diagnosed with autism at age two. As his mom, I am a fierce advocate for him and for the autism community. I know firsthand how much families of children with special needs can navigate every day, and I would love to help make sleep one less thing they have to worry about.
My hope is to be a light at the end of the tunnel for families when things feel dark. I want parents to know they don’t have to navigate this alone. If better sleep can give a family one less battle to manage and create more opportunities for connection, confidence, and joy, that is a gift I’m honored to help provide.
After working together, I hope parents feel proud of themselves and their little one, able to finally exhale and know, “We made it to the other side.” And most importantly, I want them to know that someone is here to support them along the way.
